Falls Park, Greenville

8.9 miles from Pebble Springs

Falls Park is on the Reedy River in downtown Greenville’s Historic West End. It is an oasis within the city where Liberty Bridge serves as a pedestrian walkway that overlooks the river falls. The park is surrounded by 20 acres of gardens displaying gorgeous plantings, sculptures, and areas of peaceful settings. The Reedy River area was home to small flour mills during the 1800’s and grew in the early 1920s with other factories clustered along the river. Textiles, grist and corn mills, ironworks, and sawmills were among the earlier industrial development. The land was reclaimed in the last century to restore and transform the area into a regional attraction.
